2022 – The poetry year

As the year 2022 gets set for the closing ceremony the highlights only go to prove that each day has been pulled out from a mixed bag! Riding through ups and downs and rocky roads, here we are, strapping our belts for 2023.

The poetry year 2022 has once again been kind and rewarding. I feel blessed to be able to contribute my first poems to many publications, receive a touchstone nomination for an individual poem from editor, Poetry Pea, Patricia McGuire.

Nominated for Touchstone award ( The Haiku Foundation) for an individual poem by Poetry Pea Journal editor Patricia McGuire

Also I would like to thank the editor of Dreich Planet #India, noted poet Sanjeev Sethi for including my free verse β€˜the conjuror’ in the anthology.

I am very happy to share the excitement of winning the Nyusen, third prize ( sharing space with amazing haiku poets) in the Kusamakura International Haiku Competition. Thank you, esteemed organisers and judges for selecting my poem for the same!

My heartfelt gratitude goes out to the editors of all these wonderful journals who accepted my work and encouraged me. I was fortunate to have free verse/ haiku/senryu/haiga/tanka/haibun published in them.

I really hope and pray I will be able to contribute more to these fabulous and inspiring journals in the coming times.

I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a very very fabulous new year! Have a wonderful 2023. Stay safe, healthy and keep smiling
